I've got an embankment and other areas where a verge mower (mower pivots out to the side and also has tilt capabilities) would be a handy implement to own.
It seems this type of mower is pretty common in Europe...even for compact tractors.
Anybody own one, or have personal experience using one? Preferably in the United States.
I'm not asking about the flail mowers with side offset (like the Woodmaxx units)

Something like this:

I would also be interested in something like this. There also seem to be a lot of hydraulic sickle mowers that have some reach and tilt in Europe.

You can apparently buy just the hydraulic cutter head but, not in the US. Minimum order from China is about 5 units. When I get more posts in I can post a link.

I do....BCRI model from Nova tractor.

I've got ponds I mow around...started using a sickle mower, to thick, and crawdad mounds jamming sickle blades. After breaking it several times I when to a 15ft bat wing. Work sorta ok, but it was too big to get in so many spots it wasn't effective. Then I got this ditch mower from Nova Tractor....it reaches further than the batwing, I can control the position of the mower much better. It seems to be the solution for me. Having said that....beware, with it's hydraulics...and my topntilt on the tractor...and the weight of this mower fully extended, you can very quickly get things bent out of shape in a hurry....on a steep slope to. Just saying a little bit of a learning curve to operate to get the most out of all the angles with the mower. My tires set out to max and loaded.

That looks pretty nice...I assume your Kubota is Cat II and you have the larger unit. Had any problems...other then the "things get bent out of shape..."?
Thanks for posting!

Pins for 3pt hinge was wrong....they fix that though. I got the BCRI200. I wanted to go bigger but they was sold out. Actually glad I did not go bigger. I have M7040, and it runs it with ease, BUT...when fully extended, there is a very substantial weight out there, and feel it's kind of hard on the 3pt. Their bigger models needs more tractor than my M7040. Some rubbing, mostly on the implement itself from the weight hanging out there. With my topntilt, I pull up the outside 3pt arm, and it sets cockeye when raised....until you push it out there. It all works pretty good, but make no mistake a lot of weight out there and you'll typically on slopes, at least I am, when using. If your slope allows the roller to run on the ground, the weight is off your 3pt. For the pond mowing I many times have the whole mower suspended over the water edge. When mowing on normal flat areas, that weight...out there....is on on the mower's roller and not a problem. I note they've changed the pto link to a 2 piece, I just have one long one, and they've also added a flap they can open. Their rear protection 'bar' is to light. I bent it. I've now modified to be beefier....it's all good. For my purpose....I'd buy again.

If you have any pictures, would you be kind enough to post them?

Your not the first to ask that....and I don't...at least attached to the tractor. What I got is when I first got it before I hooked it up and you can see that from the web site.

Don't have it hooked up for mowing presently, but next time I do, I'll take some pictures when it's ...hung....out there next to the pond. Think I haven't taking any because it's kind of difficult for this old man to get off the tractor when it's on a slope like that. Maybe I can make the wife take some. It will be a few weeks...got some ashapt millings coming and redoing a driveway with them, so that work comes before anymore mowing.

I did.... It did not reach out far enough to accomplish the trimming I wanted to do. Would be great in many areas given the positioning ability with FEL. I even considered building one, but the flow rate needed to cut heavy grass, not brush, with a larger mower got into issues.
