ventrac 4200 vxd lost 1/2 forward speed and unable to adjust a static neutral

Lost 1/2 the power in forward when loading up a trailer ramp. Tractor reverses fine. "in neutral" it wants to reverse.
moved the adjustment nut full forward still creeps in reverse and forward motion power is better but still creeps in reverse while in neutral position and i have no more adjustment. Think it is the pump or swash plate?

I had a problem on my 4500 where seemed like it lost a ton of power going forward but normal power in reverse. Turns out that I had got a stick wedged under the sdla lever that prevented me from pushing it forward as much. Removed the stick and it was back to normal. I dealt with the reduced power for weeks until I decided I’d had enough and was ready to give the dealer a call. Took one last look around and found it.

Yep had that before when brush cutting I check all that while digging for issues... I started it up to move and wholla it acted ok. but after about 10 min went back to blah...in forward mowed a trail for 45 min and it came to life twice but only for 30 or 45 seconds.... its a weird one.. thanks for reply

I got the same problem on a 4200 if I jam it in reverse really hard it will line back up but then eventually creeps back out of synch all i can think of the squash plate did you ever solve your issue mark

I have a Ventrac 4200 that had a similar issue. My problem was a bearing failed in the hydraulic pump. Fix was 600.00 done at a local dealer and Ventrac said that is typical for that model with around 1000 hours. They said luckily I didn稚 attempt to drive it much or metal could have contaminated the system.
