In reading the manual for the Rk24, it says when the Front End Loader is not installed, to turn this valve counter clockwise. And when the FEL is installed to turn Clockwise.

Question is, what is this control valve for?

And if you have Front End Loader and backhoe on, Where should the valve be? In the middle, or all the way clockwise...

Not sure what the "C" or "L" mean, the only thing I recognize is the FEL picture, not sure what the other pics is of or represents? thumbnail_MVIMG_20181203_114209.jpg

The valve control is used to direct flow to either the loader or 3-pt hitch. If you are using the loader, turn clockwise (forward) and if you are using the 3-pt hitch, turn counter-clockwise (towards the rear)

So you can only use one or the other? That doesn't sound right....

Doug, What if you are using the rear blade and the front loader? What position would you put the valve to?

All, sorry for the slow reply, was in the air this morning. Poor choice of words on my part. Using the loader (attached to the tractor) turn clockwise towards loader. If the loader is not being used (not attached to the tractor) turn counter clockwise towards rear. That prevents oil dead heading to loader valve and keeps it directed to 3 pt only. So, if loader attached, knob straight up, loader not attached, knob turned to the left.

Doug, Thank you, so the bottom line, is that the valve is only to prevent "Dead Heading Oil to the loader valve, when the FEL is not attached" And if you are using both the FEL and the Backhoe or rear blade, the valve should be in the full clockwise position. And this Valve has no bearing on supply to the 3 point, be it the back hoe or rear blade etc....That valve is just for FEL not attached to prevent the Dead Heading Oil.
Thanks again, it nice to know what things do, instead of just reading to "Do this when you do that" it makes understanding of how things operate better.
Thanks again,
Merry Christmas

You have described the purpose of the control perfectly. We'll hire you!

I too appreciate the clarification. Not to confuse the issue, but with a grapple and third function kit on order can one assume that nothing changes when the grapple is installed? That is, the switch works the same as with the FEL?
