Valve clearance L3540

Kubota recommends this procedure @ 800 hours. I have 1000 hours and have not done this. How crutial is this adjustment, am i putting my engine in jepordy? Thanks as always gentlemen!

Probably not in jeopardy. I bought a used BX with 1170hrs on it and it never had the valves adjusted. They were out by .001.
Not a difficult job to do on my BX. The workshop manual has good instructions on the procedure.
