Value of lx172

My 1996 JD LX172 are going to part ways, tired of throwing money at it. I'd like to feel you guys out as to what you think it might be worth before I put it up for sale. It's got a 38" deck and a 38" snow thrower, weights and chains. Reasonable condition for the year other than the fact that the transmission is on its way out. Still moves but makes an awful racket. Waddaya think?

It's not worth much. I gave $500 for a LX188 and ended up spending over $2000 on it.
I sure wish I had never bought it.
Have you checked the drive belt components?

If it was mine, I'd keep the weights and chains, and give the rest of it to the first guy that showed an interest.

Some headaches are best disposed of as soon as possible.
