Which ever way you go get a pair of rear remotes. Never thought I would want them but now I use them all the time. One set for a grapple and the other for a hydro top link. The 2510 is a power house in a small package.:2cents:

I'm confused. I thought the remote for the Grapple would be a front remote. and - What is the "Hydro top link"? My dealer has two remotes listed in the quote, so perhaps he has already thought of this (although I have not).

If you have rear remotes, you can use them to run a grapple up front, you just need to get hoses made to run up to the front. Make sure you get quick disconnects added near the location for the loader disconnects as well. It may not be as elegant a solution as a true 3rd function kit, but if you already have the remotes, it can be quite a bit cheaper.

A hydraulic top link is just a short cylinder that replaces your standard 3pt upper arm. Instead of having to adjust that turnbuckle to different implements, you can just adjust the hydraulic link with the control lever. Very useful when using certain attachments too, like a rake for example. Allows you to easily change the angle of the implement, without leaving the seat.


Having spent the last few months shopping tractors, and ultimately buying a Kioti (ck3510se), I would suggest the 2610 at a minimum, if you're set on getting the backhoe. You won't be happy with the smaller hoe on the 2510.
