Yep, Bubba, the Air Force Museum is one of my favorites. First time we were there we only spent one day there, but the second time, we spent two full days there. And for information about it, you can go to Air Force Museum.

I've been to the Smithsonian, Davis-Monthan AFB, the Pima County air museum, also, but for me the Air Force Museum is number one and the Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, FL is number two. They also have a web site at Museum of Naval Aviation. Of course, Pensacola would be a little off the path for the vacation in question. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hi Bird,
I've probably been there a dozen times through the years, which is a testament to their constant upgrading and new acquisitions that make each trip a brand new experience. Even people that don't care much for planes are totally fascinated by the wide scope of the displays. Perhaps the most touching and heart rending are the displays devoted to POW's and the misery they went through. If you can look at some of the pictures and artifacts in the POW displays and don't get a lump in your throat or a tear in your eye, you're a better man than I am. We've been to the Smithsonian Air and Space museum, and the Neil Armstrong museum in Wapakoneta Ohio, and the Wright Patterson Air Force museum beats them all in my opinion.

Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.
