Did the V519 replace the V417 or are they different level of machine?

V519 replaces V518. The V518 was discontinued in the US when Tier IV requirements became mandatory because the Perkins engine could not meet the specifications. Now that European emissions are similar to Tier IV the V518 was redesigned into the V519 using a Doosan/Bobcat engine.

thanks for that clarification. It appears the 417 is a different animal and can take regular skid steer attachments without an adapter.

The V417 is smaller than the V519, at 10.3 inches narrower, 12.5 inches shorter in length and 4.7 inches shorter in height. The wheelbase is 20.4 inches shorter.

It takes regular skid steer attachments without an adapter, but is now discontinued.

Yep, found a flat back one made for a RV. Moved the pin hitch up to the upper holes. Bought longer high strength metric bolts, drilled the holes, cut off the excess tubing and bolted it on:
