It appears that the V518 Versahandler has a 100hp engine. To anyone who has operated both, does the older V518 seem more capable than the V519, which only has 74hp?

Do both models have the power Bob-tach system for attachments?

@Xfaxman Have you ever tried unloading a 20’ shipping container from a trailer with any of your telehandlers?

No, just the V519.

This is the hydraulic powered V518 system:

I bought an adapter to SSQA for my grapple:

No, this live tree was probably about the heaviest thing lifted:

And the heaviest thing moved, it was settled down in the dirt and the trailer movers couldn't move it with their truck:

25hp is substantial. I’m wondering how noticeable the loss of power is on the V519.

Does your SSQA adapter allow you to detach/attach non-hydraulic attachments from inside the cab?

No, this one had two manual levers.

What attachments is the standard hydraulic coupling compatible with?

If you are asking about the V518, ones made for the Bobcat telehandler style attach pictured above. The attachments for it are not on the Website since they quit selling the V518.

What do you need?

oh, so the V518 coupler only supports a few V518-specific attachments.

I’ll be looking for a grapple, toothed bucket, stump bucket, forks, and post driver.

Can you reverse your auxiliary hydraulics to run a PTO-tiller in reverse?

V518 plus V624, V632 and V723. Don't know if the V923 is the same size.

I think you would be happier with a V519.

Yes, but a PTO tiller would have to have a hydraulic motor added.

I can run the brush hog either direction on the V417. The blades are sharp on both sides. I do one way for grass and the other way for brush:

Yeah, I've started to settle on searching for a v519.

Out of curiosity, how different was your old v417 from the v518?

And how much more work (in percentage terms) can you get done with your v518 when compared to your Toolcat?

The V417 is narrower, doesn't have as good of a tire tread pattern, but has a door and air conditioning.

The lower 75 horsepower rating was not noticeable since the machine did everything that I tried to do with it.

The big advantage was the SSQA.

The V518, used bought 9-23-2009:

The machines are very different. My wife bought the Toolcat in December 2012 so she could help with mowing without getting poison ivy.
It does better mowing because of the suspension:

They both can lift the 1 cubic yard bucket full of clay:

But not as high:

And I don't try removing trees with the Toolcat. :)
