V-Plow for FEL

Yesterday, there was over 12" of heavy wet snow so I had to plow 3 of my neighbors' driveways that are about 1/4 mile each and a steep uphill. Use the V-plow as a pusher to clean up the pile at the road end, then V-plow up the middle, pusher or puller to clean up the house end, then angled for a run down each side of the driveway and curve around the end, then pusher to clean up at the road. The heavier and deeper the snow and the steeper the driveway, the bigger the advantage with having a V-Plow.

Just a follow up on my original post. I finished my v-plow. We haven't had any big storms yet so I'm not sure how it will perform. It worked great in 4" of snow. I do need to redesign my angle control arms. It consists of a pipe with a smaller pipe sliding inside. The smaller pipe cannot handle heavy loads while in the scoop position.

Did you use 2 atv blades??
Are you going to design something in middle to help trap snow?
Also can you get better picture of the hinge?

I want to build a light duty V blade for my ford ranger and it will be like yours and hydraulics and mount from a meyer plow.

Have had a V plow on a 79 f150 and they added a V blade then put a electric on/off valve in one line so they could operate both wings. Had a meyer plow system and there was a huge cone made of steel in the bottom middle to help trap snow and was like a point for the plow in the V position.
Also have a f550 with boss V plow and the plow has cutting edges that fold inward in the center to help trap snow.

I had a sheet of 24" x 90" steel (3/16") rolled and then I cut that in half. I am planning to add a piece to the 6" wear bar on the bottom to cover the gap in the middle. It has to be angled back so the plow can open and close without hitting the opposite wing. A cone might be the way to go.
I can get a better picture of the hinge tonight. All I did was cut a pipe into 7 pieces and then weld each one into place, alternating between the two wings and the center support.

I got an old steel V plow for a hundred bucks I think. It turned out to be bent and had the cylinders push holes out the front. I think I will just hard mount it to a JD 640 quick attach and call it a day. Use it when I need to get to the back of the property. V is better to just blaze a trail and not get pushed off to one side.
