Utility vehicle for Corsica (France)

Any suggestion or advice will be welcomed :

I am looking for an utility vehicle supposed to be used in the (Corsican - south of France) following conditions :

- Dry area (no mud)
- Hilly land (30 to 35 % slopes)
- Diesel engine (petrol is around 2.5 $/liter here !!!!! diesel for agricultural purposes is cheaper)
- transportation of two or three persons with luggages.
- no roads but only "forests tracks".

I have read many things about many vehicles in the forum anybody could give me his impression about ranger versus Argo ? What is the price of these vehicles in US (here Argo Avenger 8x8 is around 25 000 $ crazy no ??)
