It seems to me there was at least 1 posting of "tricks" or best way to install slime in a tire somewhere in these threads, but I cannot find it....so, of those that have done this to their tires is there anything other than the mfg. instructions I should know about before doing this? Never used this stuff before but I cannot stop leaks in 2 of my tires and I'm tired of having to inflate them just about every time I use the PT. I'm also considering replacing the inner valve stems and installing them reversed(and somehow plugging the insdie of the stem) so nothing is sticking out on the inside of the wheel...any thoughts on this? I do not plan to ever "reverse" my wheels(they would then be farther out than the 48" mower deck) and that's the only drawback I can think of to doing this.

Rotate the tire until the valve stem is on top. Let all the air out of the tire. Attach the slime connector. Jack up the rear end or use the FEL to raise the front end until the deflated tire comes off the ground. That will help suck the slime into the tire.

Say thanks to Fourteen for that one! :D

I have nothing to add to MR's "follow the directions".

On the left front inner valve stem, after brush debris tore mine I intalled a metal stem backwards and with a metal cap on it. Haven't had a problem since.

I needed a valve stem removal tool (about $2) when I installed gemplers. It's a very easy process and took less than 10 minutes for all four tires. Gemplers comes with it's own pump in the bottle....it's like making a hot fudge sundae, just pump the goop in. Without a doubt, the best modification I have made yet!

Thanks to all! I'm hoping this comes in handy during grass cutting season which is soon to start! What a pain to inflate a tire every 5 days or so!

How much total tire sealant are you looking at using? If you get tire sealant in 6 gallon pails you can get a reusable metal sealant pump that goes on the bucket. Makes it very easy to install.

I don't think I'll need that much since it's only 2 tires that are leaking...although a tire on my Jimmy has a slow leak but I doubt the tire shop will appreciate me doing this to that tire.
