dexter,
The short answer is yes. I have a BX1500 with a full size rake and rear blade. They both work fine. If you are not looking to spend a lot of money, King Kutter makes a decent rake for the money. I have one of their box blades and have been pleased so far.

Having owned a B2410 and a WOODS landscape rake and now owning a BX23, I would go with a rake designed for the BX series. Woods makes a estate landscape rake for the BX and king kutter makes a XB rake.

You will get a better lift on the BX designed rake and it will be easier to control. The WOODS full size 5 foot rake sometimes felt too large and cumbersome on the B2410. Although you may be able to adapt it to a BX it would likely feel akward and not be able to adjust the angle of toplink tilt as well.

I'll second Nik's recommendation. I had a 6' full sized rake on my BX 2200, and although the tractor actually got work done well with it, the overall size of the unit was cumbersome. I traded it on a Woods Estate series and am much more satisfied. When I was looking, I found prices between the KK and the Woods to be very close (in my area), but the Woods was a much nicer unit.

dexter,
You are getting a lot of good advice. One of the reasons I went with full sized implements (I built my rake) was for possible resale down the road. I would limagine that full sized implements would be easier to sell (if you want to buy others:) ). Where I am, Woods stuff will run a few hundred dollars more. It is nice though. I just couldn't get approval from the household CFO to buy it.:D

I have used a 6' york rake a few times with my BX22. I was able to use some chain to link the lift arm to the 3PT arms and use the implement lift to lift and lower the rake. Made life a lot easier.
