That is exactly what it is for. I live in the city, and they are planning to widen the road I live on from a two lane road to a four lane road with a turn lane in the middle, a curb, and a sidewalk. Right now I have access to the back from that road, but that will go away when the road is widened. After doing some work on it last week I have decided to make it 12'x72'x300' to allow me to mow it. The sides would have been too steep to mow safely. The people I am getting the dirt from said that they estimated 600 truck loads. They are also helping with a dozer to rough shape the dirt. They dig out basements two at a time and have four to six trucks running dirt. They come at a rate of about one every 10 minutes during peak times. Sadly, the mighty BX can’t keep up.
