4-in-1 Uses for 4-in-1 bucket?

What are some of the tasks that can be done with a 4-in-1 over a conventional bucket? Are they worth the money?

Drott Manufacturing patented the 4-in-1 bucket system back in the 50's. Their literature stated the following 4 uses: <ul type="square"> [*]Bulldozer blade [*]Clamshell bucket for spreading material [*]regular bucket loader [*]grapple-like attachment [/list] I am sure you can find many more uses. I have attached some of their literature from the early 60's.

Here is a real 4-in-1 in action. I am using my TD6-62 dozer as a bulldozer here to clear some land.

I have the 4 in one. Uses: Grab brush, grab logs, grab rocks, use the fixed bucket like a buldozed ( light work ) use the movable part to spread loose material Trim lower branches of trees (not clean cuts) uproot small trees. All in all the best first step up for a FEL ( IMHO ).
