Price Check Used NH TC29D price check

Late-'99 NH TC29D w/ SS, turf, 60" MMM, radio ("expensive" one per dealer), new hood to replace a dented one, 580+ hrs, "50/50" powertrain warranty, for $13,500 (not including tax). Good deal? What other things might I negotiate for - eg, routine servicing, delivery (23 mi), etc - regardless of price? While I could see myself wanting to add a FEL in the future (primarily because people more in-the-know tell me they are very useful even if one cannot yet imagine why one needs one or how one might use one) and a posthole digger but am not certain enough at this point that I would want to include these in current negotiations. For reference: I was quoted $13,980 for a TC29D with ag tires, block heater, and rear tires filled (no supersteer) last July. This was before any haggling on my part. Judging from how much I was able to get knocked off teh price of the 33D I ended up buying, I'm betting I could have got this for $13,200 or so (even cheaper if I'd bought from a dealer 150 miles away).

SuperSteer adds about $1000 to the new price (I think). So I'm guessing you'd be a bit over $14,000 for a new 29D w/SS, plus whatever the difference is for turf tires. For a late 99 model, your warranty has less than a year left on it. Not sure what the mower would add to the package, but I'd be trying to hammer him down a bit on price, I think.

If you know you will eventually use a FEL or post hole digger, you can probably get it cheaper now than buying it later.

As far as other useful implements, what do you envision using it for? If it's just mowing, you are set. If you want to use a post hole digger, log splitter, or make extensive use of a box blade for landscaping, etc., you might consider negotiating for a couple of rear hydraulic remotes (installed) with the purchase.
