As crazy as it sounds I used my 5" chipper/shredder to shred 200 LBS of bank and tax forms. I did not get a picture of it because the camera was in use by others and it did not take more than 2 hours total.
In my area you need a burn permit, unless you burn in a screen covered barrel and then if a passerby spots smoke and they call the fire department. When that happens then the fussing starts ,how much water do you have on site, how big is your screen mesh, is there anything within 50'etc.etc. If not you might be in for $500 to $700 fine.
I ran the chipper at 3/4 speed just inside the shop door with the tractor still outside. I placed a 4' tarp near the exhaust to collect to paper. I pushed the paper in at 1/4" thick with a push stick at a very steady rate. The idea worked very much better than I would have thought. I bagged all the shredded paper in heavy paper feed bags. Have your relatives over and shred all the wifes Sears paper work and then give that to the identity theft people, it will drive them crazy.
Look at the economics of this, if I can save $700 in fine that is the perfect reason to buy that chipper which can also do trees.

I use all of that stuff to start the fires in the woodstove in the morning as well. Start your barbecue up with briquets and barbecue all of them papers. When you are done with that throw a big steak on and enjoy!:licking:

I ran a bunch of old cardboard boxes and some magazines through my Woods 5000 chipper/shedder.
The manual said this was appropriate material to shred, and I wanted to see how it worked.
Did fine...great compost.
