Used Kubota BX2200

When I got my tractor the dealer told me my FEL would be late because of a new valving that Kubota had. Having no idea what that meant, I guess now mine is a 4 position but it does come off with the FEL. Now I am not sure what he meant. Anyway to tell by the operation of the joystick? I am glad that mine comes off with the loader.

I would not take 8900.00 for mine either, but it is a 2003 model with 107 hours. That would be a good price for a tractor that was NOT abused, but for the diff, I would finance at 0% if they still have that going on

So that there is no confusion as to what you have, do you have the new design valve that has the rubber boot that the joy stick protrudes through or do you have the older design that the valve is enclosed in a metal housing without the rubber boot? I was of the impression that the new design valve was only available with the newer model designation machines.... i.e. 1830/2230. My BX22 was one of the last produced in mid September, and I have the older design valve. At the time that I ordered my machine I had a choice of 3 or 4 way valving. If I had waited another 4 - 6 weeks, I would have been able to have a BX23, but I didn't want to wait that long.
My valve can be removed with the loader or it can be left on by pulling the pins below the valve and breaking the unit apart that way. I know that it is designed this way so you can add a snow blower, front blade, or sweeper, all which use the 4 way valve.

I am sorry to confuse anyone. I was talking about the new 04 models. Having the control permently mounted to the tractor is not a plus IMO..Just because of the location. I could see myself ripping it off on a tree or at least damaging it..

My 2200 is also a 2000 model that I bought used without the FEL. I recently purchased the FEL for it and it is the new style with the plastic cover over the valve and a rubber boot for the joystick. According to my manual, there are two types offered. LA211-1 (4 position bucket control valve) and LA211-2 (3 position bucket control valve). Mine is the LA211-2 and stays with the loader. The LA211-1 stays on the tractor. The LA211-1 has one detent float position, two stage bucket dump, power beyond circuit. The LA211-2 has one detent float position, power beyond circuit. Hope this info helps and if anyone needs anymore, just ask and I will look in the manual. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My dealer promised to swap out mine if I ever wanted to. I went back thinking I'd add a blade and the guy who told me was gone, and there was nobody who knew anything about it...

Oh well, that convinced me to go rear blade and that turned out to work quite well, so no harm no foul...
