Comparison Used Deere 2305 vs 1023E

   / Used Deere 2305 vs 1023E #11
I can think of 3 differences between the two tractors that might make a difference.

1. The loader control on the 1023 is a short rod as opposed to the much longer one on the 2305. Personally, I think that the short control feels much tighter and more responsive than the longer control rod on the 2305.

2. The fuel tank is located on the fender of the 1023 as opposed to the hood of the 2305. This makes filling the tank on the 1023 much easier than on the 2305.

3. The drive-over deck is vastly more convenient on the 1023 than the 2305.

As my handle indicates, I own a 2305 for the last 10 years. It has been a great tractor for me. My father liked it so much that he bought a 1023 a couple of years ago and he just loves his.

As for the PTO shattering, I have had nothing of the sort on my 2305. I regularly run a 5' RFM, an LX4 and my favorite, a 4' flail mower. No PTO problems for me.

Hope this helps,

SI2305
