looking for a used 4300 4x4 hydro. after reading all i can it looks like there was a little trouble with 99-00 units. some posts say watch units built before 3/00 and also before sr# 300000. dealer of a unit i'm looking at ('00 built 11/99) says there were about 4 updates but can't tell if they were done (at least yet he can't), he also said JD will\should perform them, and is checking for me. i've learned about rockshaft breakage issues, hard to push hydro pedals, oil contamination issues???? all not verified yet but dealer said there were about 4 updates?? any help would be appreciated in advance.
ps: i just rented a kubota bx22 (very attrative machine, ie.. do all for little $) and realized within 30 minutes that i need much more (bx's backhoe was extremely limited and loader had a hard time with near full bucket of thick dirt , the reason for my search for a 4300. now willing to spend same as bx for just 4300 w/loader for now and get a backhoe later.
