Alright fellas I'm thinking of selling my 2305 and getting a tractor and a zero turn. The tractor will be mainly a firewood tractor that needs to have the lift capacity and height to load my dump trailer. It will also need to pull a cutter in the summer and make some $, 5' is fine. I'm more about lift than pto horsepower for the cutter.
I looked and ran a 08 3032e with 305 loader, loaded tires, 400hrs, just fully serviced. Pristine shape, I know the owner $12,500. Really liked it.
My buddy who worked at a Deere dealer and knows far more than me said he thinks I should get a little older 42-4410 series. Says the electric 3 range hydro is better, better loader function, folding rops, and it just has better components. I have a lead on a 4210 with 500hrs for $10,500
My max is $12,500.
What do you guys think?

Thanks, Rye.

I wouldn't go for a 4200 or 4210. The biggest complaint was a lack of power for the size of the tractor. IIRC, the 4200 had 28 engine HP. I'm not sure of the exact PTO HP, but 24 or 25 rings a bell.
Also, the 420 loader wasn't known for it's lift capacity.
As far as the other 4x00 and 4x10 series machines....great tractors. I had a 4400 with sync-reverser for years. If it had a cab, I'd probably still have it. This tractor had 35 engine HP and 30 at the PTO.
I do agree with your buddy...I'd go for a 4300 or 4400 (or the 4x10 equivalents) before a 3032E. If you can find a 4500 or 4510....even better.
Also, you want the 430 loader...

I looked at the new 3E series. I don't like the single brake pedal with the diff lock in it, the weak hydraulics, the aluminum rearend or the fact that the loader isn't quick detach. I have a 4110 hydro that has worked its butt off for me. I have a 60 acre farm and it's my little chore tractor and it really gets pushed to its limits, but I love it. It has the 410 loader which will lift about 850#. The only thing I don't like is that it won't reach over the side of my truck and it's a bit tippy. I wish I could afford one of the newer 2 series with wheel spacers .

Thanks for the input. I made sure the 3032 will load my dump trailer, its close but it works.

So the 4210 sold and the 3032 should sell tomorrow. Back to square one, but that's ok. It gives me time to save a few more dollars as the 4300/4400 seem to command a bit more money even though they are 7-10 years older. But I guess it's as they say "they don't build them like they used to".

You won't miss not buying the 4210...I think you would have been disappointed.
As I'd written in a previous post in this thread, don't limit yourself to the 4300 and 4400. Both great tractors...but the 4500, 4600 and 4700 are really nice too. A bit larger then the 4300/4400, they have a 4 cylinder Yanmar diesel (the 4300/4400 have 3 cylinder Yanmar engines).

Well just to update, thanks for all the help guys. I purchased the 3032e, when it came down to brass tacks it's a much more capable machine than my 2305 and the price was in my budget. All the other tractors I looked at needed some tlc, not a big deal but it adds up quick and when your already at the top of your budget it becomes stressful.
I did find a smoking deal on a 4400 with only 350hrs but I hadn't sold my 2305 yet so I didn't have the cash on hand. 2305 sold last night and the 3032e is already in my yard.
