OK Guys.....I've been talking with the factory about the used 1430 they have listed on the web site. It turns out it is a 99 model 1430 with 700+/- hours. Reportedly in "top condition", always garaged, etc. No attachments/no warranty for $10K. This seems a little high to me......any comments? Anyone know about this machine - originaly had 60" deck, forks, 18cuft bucket, and no quick attach.

If money was not the issue(but,it is)...I would have A 1430 in a minute WITH quick attach...No quick attach=no sale IMHO /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Considering, now, that I bought a Robin, you may wish to ignore this opinion. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

If I had not bought the 2445 I would have bought a new or used 1430. It sounds like the unit is in great shape, but you will have to belly up to the bar for attachments, which could make total package pricy....you might try a negotiated package deal with PT or just keep looking around for a used package on the open market. Patience is key with used PT's, but there are some out there from time to time. What happened to the attachments that originally came with this unit....are they not available?...sounds like PT put a quick hitch on this one. Good luck.

I had intended on purchasing a new 1430 later this spring....it is just that this 99 model came up for sale. My question about the price concerned the "market value". $10K seemed a little steep for a machine with 700hours and no warranty (when a new unit is currently $13K).
I'm not sure what happened to the attachments for the 99 model. PT sales folks weren't sure about the price...then, they weren't sure if the attachments came with it for that price.....then, they weren't sure if it had quick attach............then, they weren't sure if they were going to install the quick attach.................................
Anyhow, I've read all your threads about the 1430 and believe it to be the machine that best suits my needs. Guess I'll just wait till later in the spring and purchase a new unit (unless someone steps forward with some interesting information about the 99 model). /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The 3k price difference is not much for some peace of mind in the long run. Pre spring is a good time to be patient. Early spring will be a better time to move forward.
