Im at 1000hr on my 17 xr4140.

It's been a good machine overall.

The biggest complaint I have is the stabilizer arms bend and break really easily. I would imagine they are designed to some degree....but im curious if anyone has upgraded them?

There is no available upgrade, other than fabricating something.

i broke mine like that and ordered a new set from Messicks - there is an upgraded stabilizer arm. The pins are heavier duty.

My 2019 XR4155 arms seem to be built considerably different than yours, only 500 hours but i haven’t experienced any trouble yet. If they have been upgraded maybe LS would be willing to replace yours under warranty.
Could you post a picture of the one that hasn’t been broken or have both sides broke ?
What kind of work had you been doing when they broke ?
Mine probably gets the most stress when using the 9 foot rear blade that weighs over 1,400 pounds while plowing both forward and reverse.

That kind of stabilizer is easily damaged if not adjusted as a pair such that neither ever supports a compression load. Once youve put an implement on get to a level area before you put the adjustment pins in. Now, to start, assure that each lift arm ball is outward against the linchpin on its respective implement pin. --- Then, implement suspended slightly, put in one adjustment pin about where you think it should go. Now pull the implement firmly toward the opposite side and slip that 2nd adjuster pin into a hole where it fits easily. Now, pushing the implement back in the opposite direction verify that the original pin will slip in and out easily. If your side to side position isnt quite right, just correct the position stepwise to find adjustment hole positions that always eliminate the chance of compression.
