Thanks all for the info. I forgot to say that it is not to cross the ditch but to mow tha gerass along. As it was suggested, I include pictures of the ditch and of my new toy.

thanks again for all the comments and suggestions

I'm thinking that ditch should not present a problem.:D

Nice stone house. :D :D :D

Is that a chipper in the first picture? If so, cool! And nice tractor! I am very new to all of this so seeing an attachment like that that is out of the ordinary is kind of exciting for me .

Unless the slope in your picture has been distorted by the camera and is actually steeper, I think you should be fine...

Remember that is coming from my limited experience though!

Just make sure that there isn't some mud buried under some leaves at the bottom that will sink the minute you get your front or rear wheels in there!

Yes it is a chipper and I didn.t use it yet since I received my toys last tuesday.

A question: you say that it shouldn't be a problem, but should I keep my front loader to stabilise the all thing and have it as low as possible?

The slopes don't look that bad for mowing....but pics can be misleading. I would try it by going parallel with the ditch first, have the loader low to the ground and you may want to try going in 4wd-low. You can also try backing down the slopes with the mower using the same setup as I just mentioned. If you back down the slope just remeber to extend your top link so the mower will be able to follow the ground contour.

Just my 2cents.... be safe and try what will work best for you.

Those look to be 15 degrees or a bit more...far from the 30 degrees first mentioned.
It's doable, but I think you'll be rather uncomfortable, especially since this machine is new to you.
I hope your tires are filled...that'll help. That, and going slow.
As far as your loader, I suggest you remove it before mowing those ditches. The weight of the loader frame above your axles is going to raise the tractor's center of gravity. I think you'll find it much more comfortable and safer to remove it. Please do keep that ROPS up and your seat belt tight.
If this is going to be an ongoing task, you may want to rig a removable counterweight of some sort to your tractor. I think your dealer can give you some ideas on this.

I also think your home is quite pretty!

Nice pictures :D! A word of caution- never get too comfortable with your tractor and/or attachments. That is when accidents happen . I would stay away from that slope when the grass is wet. Use your tractor safely and well. Keep the posts coming- Jay :)

There are just too many variables for anyone to say what tractor will do what on any slope. It's impossible to estimate all the factors. Just stick to what you feel comfortable with. I also have two other tractors that I would not try to mow on half this steep.

Below pic is the absolute max I can go across a slope with my JD455.

I have to go across slope as I can't maintain traction going up or down.
