Unusual Noise when glow plugs cut off

Recently started making about a 2 second chattering noise as the glow plug lite goes off.
Kubota L4610 HSTC, 4000 hours. If we cycle the glow plug, it will do it each time.
I figure something is about to quit working.
Any help appreciated.

Sounds as though your battery cannot keep both glow plugs and fuel solenoid going. The chattering is likely the fuel solenoid opening back up when glow plugs go off.

Your battery is probably ready to quit.

Or the soleniod(s) themselves.

Or possibly a relay on the way out. That could chatter.

OK, we did a battery check & believe it is good. By the time we opened the hood, hoping to get closer to the noise, it was very short & we could not determine where it was coming from.
We put a battery maintainer on it. Will try to check again when cold and have the hood open. I presume this may be the only way to get the longer chatter (first engagement of glow plugs) while cold.
