Those are unique trucks in the video. They definitely have a rear differential and rear tire chains.

Now, I have seen videos of tractor racing in Thailand. I wonder if it was the inspiration for Star Wars POD racing.

Scientists estimate that horses were first domesticated 6000 years ago. Scientists also estimate that 5999 years and 11 months and 29 days ago was when the first horse race occurred which was immediately followed by a riot in the grandstands where half the crowd demanded the referee should be "strung up!". I don't think man kind has changed at all in 6 millennium.
