Unidentified part found on floorboard of L5030

Today I was burning three large brush and using my grapple on the front and landscape rake on the rear. I though i heard a funny noise but everything was fine. About 30 minutes later I got off the tractor and notice this piece laying on the floor board by my feet.

It's 1/4" thick steel plate, 2 1/2" in diameter, has four notches 3/8" wide and 1/2" deep. It seems to have some sort of raised hump right in the center as if to keep if from sliding out of it place. The other side has a dimple in the same spot. It seems to be something that registers a adjustment devise of sorts????

Does anybody have any ideas????

You said you were using your grapple; have you inspected your joystick assembly for any looseness? The disk looks as if it could work there possibly, but I don't know how it could have worked out without your being aware.

I just gave my 5030 a quick scan and came up empty. I'm going to have a look under the steering linkage cover as soon as I get a chance.

That's a puzzler all right. The shuttles are grounded so we can rule that out. Part of a UFO perhaps, one from a non-ISO 9000-certified star system?

I'll keep looking, maybe give my manual the once-over.

Well guys, here my sign. Stupid sign that is......

A friend came over today and I showed him the part and he tell me this, Oh yea that's where I left that part, on the fender of your tractor. It's a part off a trailer swivel jack. He set it down on the tractor fender the other day and forgot it. I drove the tractor and it fell under the seat and then ended up on the floorboard.

Sorry for all the trouble....

Thanks for all the effort and all the ideas were good, at least they sounded good to me, even if the part go to a trailer and not the tractor.

No "sign" necessary. I would have driven myself nuts in the same situation. My friends laugh at me because I am obsessive about my equipment. Glad nothing was broken.
