Unexpected FEL use

Never imagined I'd be using my FEL this way but hey, it did the job.


The initial hoist got it to about 45 deg.


Braced it up, and tightened the rope back up


Making the final hoist to about 75-80 deg


One last shove to get 'er up

Initially planned to raise this up with good ole manpower but then I had the brilliant idea of preinstalling the fiber-cement siding. It went on easy but I forgot to account for all the extra weight. Went up almost too easy, made me keep double checking for something coming undone.

Very clever idea. I can see that you had the hoe stabilizers down, did it help for stability?

I put 'em down but I don't think it made a lick of difference.

I used it again today to push the gable back into plumb while attaching the backwall.

Growing up my Dad was in the Fork Truck business and I have spent some time around Fork Truck shops. We used Fork Trucks in so many ways that I could never remember them all to write them down. I expect the same kind of versatility from my FEL.
