Repalcing a B7100 with 1600 hours. Have looked at the BX2350 & B7510. Will be using for mowing approx 4 acres which is mostly sloping land and some snow removal. Land being mowed has trees and rocks (boulders) to mow around and exposed rocks that I mow over sometimes nipping the tops if I forget to raise the deck. The slope can be anything from minimal to 30 deg. The B7100 has served me well but would like to move to a newer tractor. I believe the BX2350 may be a step back in size and the B7510 is a step up in size, that seems obvious. I am looking at mowing (MMM) and snow removal only have no need for and will not be buying a FEL. I may look at a snow blower rather than the blade but our snow removal requirements are not great and blading has worked well.

I have no need to over buy but also don't want to wish later I had bought bigger.

What are experiences here with the BX series vs B7510 for similar mowing requirements.

Thank

I've been lurking on this board for a while, kicking tires. I've been set on the bx24, then looked at the red(GC2310), green(2305) and blue(tz25) versions. Price, quality, reviews and integration led back to the BX. I really liked the kioti ck20, a larger machine, which led to looking at the B series. IMHO kioti outspecs kubota here, at least with lift. Mind you, I plan on alot of landscaping work with the machine. Price is close on B series and CK20, this matchup goes to CK20, I really the machine, It may be that the B series looks like last generation tractor. One again, MHO.
Then I was at you point in ther road, here's the question.
What do you plan to do with the machine. Your planning to mow and remove snow. Tough one, both tasks look at weight differently.

Mowing, hands down BX. A ZTR may be faster but can't do anyhing else with it.
Snow removal should be handled by the BX. Ask some other posters about the BX snow removal abilities.

Mowing with the B series, heavier machine a negative
Snow removal with the B series. heavier machine a plus

If you're not doing any FEL orground engaging, the smaller BXshould work.

Your decision weighs heavily on future plans.

The 7100 is a old model B-7510 so to speak just less horsepower and no power steering. So to consider that that would be the same might make you more comfortable with the size of the tires and the chassis.
The BX would definitely do everything that you have listed as far as work to do and give you good service as well.
Sit on them, drive them, then make your choice. There are some good deals on the 7510's as the new models will be out this spring with a three range transmission which will be great for hills!!!

Also my B7100 does not have a water pump and overheating or at least whistling has been an issue for me. Both the BX2350 and the B7510 should solve that issue as both have water pumps.

Just trying to collect as much info as possible. Thanks for the comments so far.

You mentioned mowing on sloping land. One of the features that attracted me to the bx series is it's relatively low profile compared to the b series. I never felt comfortable with the concept of mowing or driving on slopes with the b series (or the comparable series of CUT's in the other colors either) with their seemingly narrow track. The bx, however, feels more like a garden tractor in that respect. Of course, that lower profile also means lower ground clearance. You'll want to consider that as well. I dont believe that the bx is designed to go "off-road".

If you can afford it, get the B7510. You'll be kicking yourself if the BX can't do things the B7510 can.

They are both great tractors. For pure mowing, the BX is the superior machine.

Size wise they are very, very close. The main difference being, the 7510 is taller (with more ground clearance, due to larger wheels/tires) than the BX. Weight, width and wheelbase are all very close. HP goes to the BX and torque to the B.

Unless you need the ground clearance there is nothing the BX can't do that the B can. The BX is a grass cuttin', snow pushin' machine.

That said, drive both and see what you like best, that's what counts the most.

I did the same review in 2002 and since 99% of my use was grass cutting and snow removal I went with the BX. As everyone said try both on your property and see what u like best. Click on my link below my name to see what a BX looks like in snow machine removal mode. Have fun:D

Went through the same dilema a few yrs ago. I was all set to go with the B7510 then made the 11th hr decision to go with a BX23. Haven't been disappointed at all. My primary use is finish mowing 4 acres and handling any and all other chores that may arrise.

Some things to consider.
The BX has a fully suspended MMM. It does not ride on the ground. Some argue that this produces a better cut. It is definitely easier on the mower in that there are no ground contact wheels/hardware to damge on your rocks.
The BX should pose no problem in snow removal. I've only had to deal with a couple inches once and my only disappointment was I had my 200' driveway cleared too soon, useing the FEL :D
There are many others that deal with blizzzards and such and have no problems w/their BX's.

The B7510 has more ground clearance and can handle a larger variety of Cat 1 implements. It uses a ground contact MMM and I've read that it cuts very well. If your B7100 has a MMM then its very similar to it.
Those taller rear wheels may give your rear alittle more cushioning on the bumps.

Kubota came out w/a B7510 Turf Special but I don't think it's available now. It came w/a BX style fully floating MMM and turf tires. Best of both worlds I rekon :D

Both would probably be the same on slopes.

Best recommendation I have is to test them both out and go with the one that fits & feels best :D
