I've been having an occasional problem with the valve that is used to raise the bed on my TC. It turns out there's a solenoid that retracts a metal rod when the TC thinks it's safe enough to do so. This rod blocks the actuation handle (the one with the orange plastic grip that isn't the throttle). Apparently the "D" is the only version of the TC that suffers from this nifty hardware. Anyway, if this great feature fails the bed has to be manually raised. Ugh.

What I did on my TC was to remove the console and passenger side access panel and then pull said solenoid. Takes a small adjustable wrench. A small spring and "blocking rod" was removed from the solenoid guts and then the solenoid was reinstalled. Problem solved. The solenoid of interest is the rearmost of three such devices clustered together (passenger side) on the big valve body (I don't know hydraulic techno-speak) that lives in the "tunnel" between the seats.

I think this interlock (PIA) is slaved to the position of the armrest. When it's down you can raise the bed; otherwise, nyet. Now, in this regard, my "D" acts like an earlier version of the TC.
