Jinma 224
Gentlemen, I am looking for parts to repair my Jinma 224 (Hercules 2224) tractors hydraulic pumps. It has the ty290x engine (two-cylinder diesel) but uses an unusual twin pump hydraulic system setup. One pump operates the power steering (upper pump) and the other the FEL and rear lift (lower pump). I have attached a diagram and parts list of my system and pictures of the failed parts.

Basically what happened is a bearing went during operation and took out the gears. No problem all i need to do is replace the gears right? Wrong!! While the gear/shaft/pump driver is readily available the gear (with bore) is not available ANYWHERE. Phil at Circle G has tried as have many others to find the gear and no one seems to recognize the setup.

I have looked into having the gear made but at $2800 it does not make since. Has anyone seen this setup before? Do you know where I might find this gear? I know I can reroute the hydraulics and convert it to a single pump setup but i would like to keep it as designed.

I have listed the part numbers involved and description of what I need.

Idle Gear Jinma Part # TY290X.02.184 (the gear I am looking for)
This gear is a Left Helical gear with 24 teeth, a keyed ID estimated at about 15/16th , OD estimated at 2 5/8th (2.61?, thickness of 5/8th (.62?

Hydraulic Pump Gear Jinma Part # TY290X.02.121-1
This integrated gear-shaft mates to the gear i need and is a Right Helical gear with 24 teeth, similar dimensions to the idle gear listed above

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tractor background:
2000 Hercules 2224 (private labeled Jinma 224)
232 hours
Purchased from a little old man that only drove it on Sundays (but left it outside its entire life).
Even with the hydraulic issues I think it was worth the $900.00 price (but i may be proven wrong)

Well, I think the problem is that you're trying to buy Jinma parts for a Benye/Rhino. Try Farm Boys in Tennessee. If they encounter the same "unfindable" issue, I'd say the most reasonable alternative is to simply buy the conventional TY-290 drive gear assembly. Then reconfigure your pumps in series. That is, right now you've got pump-drive-pump. The conventional config is drive-pump-pump. Only problem I could foresee is if that puts pump #2 too close to the starter motor wiring.

Are you sure that is not a Jinma Greg? You would know better than me but it sure looks like a older Jinma with side steering to me. Granted, I have not seen many 224, only 254 and up.

$900 was a steal. The loader is worth twice that alone.

You are not going to find this gear, unless you can find a cannablized TY290 engine.I have 3-4 new TY290 Engines in the crate but all were set up for the single pump.I have the dual pump pump driver but not the gear you need.

The TY290 engine was made at a prision in China which has long been closed down, you are going to have to convert this to a single pump system

Now there's a cool piece of trivia !. Are you recommending single pump because of starter motor interference? I kinda suspected the two cylinder might not have sufficient front to rear clearance for a pair of pumps in series.

I am planning to convert to a single pump if I can't find the gear. I thought I could swap the E310 pump in place of the E306 and run all hydraulics from the E310. i have a diverter valve and just need hoses routed. Shouldn't that work?

Hercules 2224 with Farm King 95 loader, also marketed as Rhino 224 with Allied 95 loader. Tractor by Benye, loader by Buhler. Since it was purchased used in Oregon, I suspect it may originally have been sold by Rhino/Mark Leonard (now TytanInternational) up in Washington State

Boy, they all look so close. The good, drivers station, ect look just like my Jinma 284.
