Very neat to see the ripples run back though the material already deposited and the way the material on the end of the wire flops around. I knew all those bad welds weren't ALL my fault!

Amazing how something so disorganized looking in the beginning could turn out so uniform in the end.

Pretty cool to see! In the second vid, the light gassy looking glow between the wire and the weld, is that the welding gas changing from the heat of the transfer? I'd live to see one at half or a quarter this speed.

If the video was indeed shot at 10,000 fps and is 120 seconds long, then at 25 fps normal playback the total time was only .3 seconds! A lot happening in that .3 sec.

I think it is the shielding gas, heated to a plasma state by the electric current.
