Recently traveled +6,000 miles, refueling at large Truck Stops: Flying J, Loves, etc. and noticed that the pumps used by the Big Rigs were pumping LSD, but that one or two islands in the front (usually an outside island or marked for RV use) had ULSD for the RV,s and PU,s. I have an 07 Duramax Classic, which burns anything, so did that.
Filled up numerous times with LSD or ULSD and didn't notice any performance difference when pulling a TT over the higher Mt. Passes in AZ and NM. Averaged about 12mpg with either.
Shouldn't be any problem finding ULSD at large stations serving RV,s and Big Rigs. Wouldn't hurt to get a 5 gal. yellow can from Wally World and carry an extra 5 gal. ULSD with you just in case until the smaller stations start handling it. Wouldn't want to mess up a new 07 engine with LSD.
