Last nite, while brush hogging in 90 degree temps with 48" hog, my red temp lite came on just after hitting a clump of dirt that nearly stalled the tractor.

Questions-
Was the near-stall related to the temp lite?
The grill screen was clear, fan spinning, and coolant full and fresh (last I checked a few weeks ago)....anything I should do before going out tonight to try to finish?
Is it simply too much for such a small tractor to work in temps this high?

Thanks

How tall are the weeds? Do they obstruct ram air to radiator? This will impact how well your cooling system will function.

I know you said that the screen in front of the radiator is clean but is the radiator itself clean? I had the same problem once. You need to hose out the radiator from the fan side out. When mowing in tall grass the little seeds get down deep in the radiator. You can't see them there but they are plugging it up. Give that a try and let us know how it works out.

Dadzilla's post is right on. However, if there is a stubborn build up in the radiator you may benefit from a deeper cleaning. Take the raditator to a professional and have it cleaned inside and out. Above all don't use a high pressure power washer as you will damage the cores. satohparts.com
