That didn't take to long even though a day without it can seem like forever. Your dealer is taking care of you which means a lot. I hope that will be your last problem.

as others have said, Kioti may very well be outsourcing the column so they just turn it back to their supplier..
Pretty much any o-ring can be either bought or made... I would definitely take it apart and fix it myself before spending $1700.00

I agree.

How hard is it to grab a micrometer and measure an o-ring. Had it been to the dealers advantage to replace the o-ring I expect he would have. But that is neither here nor there.

Replacing components is becoming the new norm. I bought a new SUV, and within two weeks the front seal leaked on the transmission. The dealer replaced the entire transmission under warranty. Some bean counter somewhere found that the overall result was better than breaking into the component, possibly causing more problems. It gets the equipment fixed, and protects the name brand.

All fixed and back home --- crazy how much I missed this thing, even though I've only had it a month!
Glad you got it fixed. Are you a 2 tractor owner now? I must have missed the thread where you were shopping for a Kioti. Regardless, you need to update your profile

This is just too much. He sold the unreliable Kioti last year and bought the LS which he traded it in for a bigger one. This is a old thread

Murph ... stop taking this so personal! I never said Kioti was unreliable. I don't think anyone else is saying that earlier. I did say that for the time I owned it, compared with my LS tractors ... that the LS has been more reliable than my CK20 was. I really liked that little CK20 tho. I just like my LS better.

And yes this is a very old thread. I no longer have the Kioti.

Get over it man. Move on. My Kioti had two problems that needed fixing early on and thus wasn't operationally perfect. My LS has had zero operational problems. Therefore, in the same regard it has been perfect thus far.

I'm sorry that you're having a hard time coming to terms with that.

Yeah. I'm sure tractors are like a lot of other mechanical devices, cars and trucks for example, man uses. The two times during their life span where things are likely to go wrong are early on in their life span and at the end of their life span. Each of them have so many different parts that could go wrong at any time. And if just one of those parts was bad right out of the gate, then guess what? The whole machine gets blamed for it. Would you stop buying a Chevy, Ford or Dodge because a front seal went out on the transmission in the first few months that you owned it? I think not. Is it possible for a totally different part on that same vehicle to also have a flaw? Sure is. It's a numbers game. Sooner or later something gets made where every conceivable Gremlin jumped into that one particular machine. Like a harmonic convergence. It just happens. B.
