Finally made some progress on getting the front weights on my B2320. My Machinist Bro in law welded me a steel attaching plate to my Reece hitch receiver and drilled me some holes. Didn't give him location of my already available holes so had to drill a couple of holes in his plate. Anyway, it's attached and the weights are hanging on the front of my tractor. Drove all around yard with Rotary mower attached to back and there is a world of difference with the ugly weights attached. Before the wheels would spin at the least hill.
Yes, I'm going to do something different than what it now is.:) I'm not entering a front weight beauty contest but it's to ugly to live with forever or however long I own this tractor.
I bought an 18" Reece hitch extension bar that I planned hanging the weights on but the extension is the same size as the Reese hitch hole sooooo will have to come up with something different there.
Asked Bro in law if he'll make more for others and he agreed to for $99 shipped and said he's drill 4 holes at the location requested on the plate.
Sakrete was $2.50 40 lb bag plus 2 pieces of rebar for $4 so cost was $8 for rebar and $7.50 for 3 bags of Sakrete so cheap ugly weights cost about $18 with tax not the $1 per lb of Kubota tractor weights. How much more is beauty worth?:D

Your BIL makes you that fancy hitch receiver and that is all you can come up with ?:D

Otherwise it is just like you said cheap and ugly...they are. But if it works...:drink:

Paint it all kubota red, no one will even notice it's there.

Ya know, my Dad made wheel weights out of concrete and used them for years. He just put plastic in the wheel opening and stuck bolts through and then fill with sack crete. They were removable and everything. After he painted them you couldn't tell they weren't part of the tractor. He was ingenious. He also made the first leaf blower in south eastern Pa. Way back in the 60s. He used a 2x12 an aluminum industrial blower, an engine and wheelbarrow wheels. Used that thing for years. Miss him.

I just thought of another Dad/concrete story. I had an Austin Healey and the rocker panels were rusted out. He filled them with concrete. What a loon. It did work cept the paint reacted funny and fell off.

I like the front receiver tube, it would be perfect for this tool holder I invented, I thought of putting a hitch on the front of my garden tractor.

Also a pic of an odd front weight, needed the extra weight to move my JD BH.

JB.

You could get something like this and put a box on it:

Dee Zee Hitch-Style Mounting Kit for Storage Boxes - 1108649 | Tractor Supply Company

Or if you have a use for one of those luggage racks that can be mounted in a hitch for a truck or car, you could get one of those or have your brother in law build you something similar to above.
The attach you included with pic would hold lots of Sakrete and other heavy stuff. I saw where someone had the other item you mentioned and they hauled firewood on it. Neighbor had one of the "luggage" racks in their yardsale a few months ago and I circled it a few times but couldn't think of a need soooo didn't even price it. Would love to have it now. I need just a straight piece of pipe to fit in Reese hitch so looking for one cheap. Bought an 18" one from Harbour Freight but it was 2", same size as the Reese hitch and not the size of the opening. On the hunt for the straight pipe to fit in the Reese hitch or a cheap "luggage" rack that fits in the hitch.
May hit the BIL up again to sell me a piece of steel tubing that will fit in the Reese Hitch, he's got me this far so he surely wouldn't abandon me now!:)
