Lots of old iron
My TZ25DA with 220 HRS has a problem. The three point hitch goes down on it's own with the tractor running. For example, If I go to carry my back blade, I will put the three point hitch up all the way and the blade will be hitting ground by the time I get to the other end of the property...(1000 feet?). Anybody experience this? This is just after I had to change a front axle seal and bearing. Oh, my fender is cracked under the seat too, but I have a Sims cab on it.....Here we go......Thanks to any replies....

Is the lever for the tph moving or just the lift arms. If it's the lever that is moving there should be a tension adjustment.

No, just the lift arms. If I stand on the three point, it will go down. i have several tractors, but this is a first for me....

Dunno about the 3-point, but my fender pan, and I'm sure all the others in the 2006 range, did it. I caught it with two weeks left on the warranty. The newer models have a plate on the seat base to keep it from doing that.

Have you found the problem(s) yet?

No. I've been getting wood in, but I really dread taking off the cab and fender. It's not any adjustment on the lever, and i have no external leaks, so I figure It must be the piston seals on the rock shaft? I hope to get into it in a couple of weeks...

Mine drifts down also. With the box blade it does it slowly. With the mower on it drops much faster. It is not that bad yet, so I have not torn into it. If I want the 3pt to stay up while doing loader work, I just close the speed control valve for the 3pt. It does not drop at all then.

I've tried that, and mine still drifts.. You can actually put a yardstick next to it and watch... 232 whopping hours on it...

Had the same issue with my bucket going down and have about 350 hours on it (TC40D). The loader bucket cylinders needed repacking. Price for 2 seal kits was $69.28 (one for each side). I would guess that it might be the same thing on the back too.

The dealer said that it happens more when they're not used a lot as the packing is a wax base and I guess it gets old/hard or something when not being used heavily.
