I have a recently purchased T264 and when I try to engage the PTO I get a clicking noise like it's only half engaged.

I'm thinking there must be so adjustment somewhere but I can't find it.

There it has a 2024 in service date so there is a lot of warranty left, I just need to get it over to the dealer for some sort of warranty transfer inspection. which they say they can do right on the trailer, but I wonder if it might be considered a preexisting condition.

So if anybody has any ideas I'd appreciate it.

Did you put the PTO in gear? Using the lever that selects Mid/Rear PTO - Neutral - Rear PTO.

My Lever looks like this, just on and off.

However I have once more confirmed I can be stupid, I wasn't sure of the lever positions so rather than walk out to the tractor not that far but far enough I figured it would be faster to look at the Operating Manual I have on the computer. While doing so I got to the part about it automatically shutting off when raised. Which got me to thinking. So I then had to walk out the the tractor and start it up to see what happens when the snow blower is on the ground, Low and behold It works.

Now my only issue beyond getting it over the the dealer for the transfer inspection is to get the door frame I need that's on Backorder and figure out why the work lights aren't working. Both front and rear are out, I had a blown fuse that I replaced with out success but it hasn't blown again so I think something is unplugged. (I had a rear directional that was unplugged and found that) but haven't had any luck with the work lights.

Good thing is I'm mostly retired so I can wait for daylight until I figure it out.

Thanks for the response it was what sent me down the path to success.

Cool. At least you got it figured out. I wasn't aware they also put that Auto feature on those smaller models though.

Hi, I just was reading your post because I was have the same issue. After messing around a bit, with out any changes to the noise issue I finally figured it out.
On the RPM gage, it has a green message that says PTO 540rpm.
Once I put rpm’s at 540rpm the noise disappeared.
Iam thinking that the hydraulic pressure has to be at a higher level to engage the PTO clutch.🤦
