Two ways to tell

Summer has been a little slow coming here to the desert this year, but there are 2 ways to tell when it arrives.

It hit 120 today and the thunderbumpers are forming over the mountains.

Ya, my wife was born and grew up in Indio. Hot hot hot during the summer!

It was hot everywhere yesterday. I had to dry out my billfold yesterday, we had a dew point of 81.

I was in Palm Desert a month ago on vacation and it was 108 degrees for a few days in a row. Too hot to walk from the pool chair to the pool without shoes on. Don't see how the natives live there in the summer.

At 3:30 this morning when my stadium project started up, the temperature was 97 degrees.

Because of the heat we work 3:30 to noon

Not quite as bad, but the high dew point yesterday was 59.
