two problems....steering and sheer pins

4720i- The steering wheel, when turned to the left does not stop, I can spin it all the way around, it does turn the wheels but continues past the obvious full turn position. Operates norrmally and stops when turned to the right.

Shear pins on a Howse Medium cutter.....I have sheared mine because of a stupid procedural error on my part. I saw the pin fly out of the box, found both ends and the inner shaft part but my cutter continues to cut, shouldn't it spin and do nothing?

Toby, could it be held on the shaft because of rust ?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

nope, I had just greased both couplings and taken it apart to try and get a new shaft sleeve/guard so I had it off an hour before this happened. too late to work on it after getting home from 'real' job, if I unhook the 3 point hitch is it a bad thing to just use the tractor to pull it off?
