Tv 145 pto leak

Hey guys

I have a 2004 tv145, there is hydraulic oil coming out of the pto shaft on the cab end.

What is causing this and how hard is it to fix the issue.?

Is the style that you can swap from 540 to 1000 and back by swapping the end shaft?
There does look to be a gasket inside the bolted on retainer.
I don't see a retainer in your picture.

I'm just guessing here, but it looks very similar to the rear end housing from the 5000 series tractors. Based on this diagram I would say you can get to the seal after removing the PTO guard support (assuming that's what's covering the seal retainer) then the retainer itself. Again, this is just a guess.

thank you for the help and diagram. that would be awesome if its as easy as removing the PTO guard support and retainer to swap it out

I make no promises in that regard, but it looks like an obvious starting point.

you can electronically select between 540 or 1000 rpm on the dash.
there was an extra shaft sitting on the cab floor when I bought the tractor, I have never used it

I have only ran it on the 1000 rpm setting
