Turnips ?? When will the deer show interest ?

I haven't had a good freeze yet, but today I watched a doe eating in my turnips. She was the only deer that came out this evening, and she went straight for the turnips. She didn't stay very long, maybe a coupld of minutes. Then she went to my corn from my feeder, where she hung out until it was too dark to see her anymore.

I've heard the same thing about the frost making them tastes better.....

I know a guide that plants food plots and hunts the turnips right after the first good freeze, like Randy said they won't even touch them before

Plowed up 3-4 turnip rows with my middle buster today...maybe if they see & smell them better they will start on them.....they can't miss them for sure...

It takes a good frost to turn the leaves, once that happens they should really eat the leaves. Late winter they should dig up some of the turnips to eat. The 1st year I planted them they didn't seem to care this year had some grow back on their own and they ripped them apart!
