I'm considering turning the rear wheels on my ford 8n tractor to get a wider wheelbase. But I am concerned that it will not fit on my trailer after that my trailer is 6'10" wide. Has anyone done this and how wide is your tractor after you do it?

There are several combinations of attaching the rims to the center disc. You can turn each component. Take a look at your wheels and you should be able to envision it. Then take some measurements of the offset of each component and you should be able to determine the best configuration for you without the trial and error.
