turning radius vs. turnaround

Yet another question.

The NH spec's list turning radius and turnaround radius, which
are about the same except with SuperSteer, which is about
half the amount.
Do they mean turning while backing up for turnaround?
If so , is SS that great if it only cuts the turning radius while backing up?

Hopefully, someone with more knowledge will jump in here, but here is how it was explained to me by one dealer:

Turning radius is measured on the INSIDE of the circle (look at the inside of the tire tracks you leave). Turnaround diameter measures the smallest space in which the tractor will turn around in one motion (that is, with no shuttling back and forth)... think of it as the minimum space you need between obstacles to hang a 180 between them.

Supersteer works in both directions.
