turning Plow / middle buster

I have a single turning plow that i am considering replacing the bottom and then install a middle buster. What I am trying to say is use the plow by changing the bottom from turning to middle buster and then back to turning as the need arises. Has any one ever attempted this?

I do that with my subsoiler, unbolting a moldboard plow must be a lesson in frustration. With my subsoiler two bolts removes the tooth, and two bolts attach the shovel.

Well, a number of companies make such devices. I have a middle buster / subsoiler combination from Howse. Two bolts hold the appropriate blade, and you can set the depth of work with some combination of the 3ph height and an adjustable shaft (like most rippers on box blades) for the plow attachment. Works just fine.
