No-brainer...

AG's... AG's... AG's

Did I mention Ag's?

Sounds like ags would fit the bill. I have r4s and they aren't too bad either. I see in other posts you are thinking of a MMM. I'm not sure myself but you might inquire as to whether ags/r4s can be used with a MMM.

Only turfs can be used with a mmm on a Kubota Grand L. Check with your dealer and tell him to read all the footnotes in his manual very closely.

Glenn,

Really? My dealer did try and talk me into one (with my R4's). Thank's for the tip, I bet it helps a bunch of folks.

By the way, my dealer just hates it when I know more about the tractors than he does. Maybe I should clue him in that all the good info is on this board? Nahh.

John,

I've checked this with four different dealers over the phone, including Carver. Three of them had hesitation because the information is apparently laid out with foonotes and asterisks in their sales materials. As I recall, there was interference with the front tires. I really cant say I understand this, because the front R4's dont look particularly bigger than the turfs. So, I would advise anyone to have their dealer doublecheck. Maybe there's an asterisk on one of the asterisks. There's not a lot of firsthand knowledge on this subject, I suspect, because I dont think a lot of Grand L's are sold with belly mowers.

When I bought my 3010 (with pillow die turfs) my dealer told me if these did not supply enough traction that he could put a set of "wranglers" on which would be better and could still work with my mmm. I personally do not know what a "wrangler" tire looks like but he compared them to R4's. My dealer seems to have intricate detail knowledge of everything he sells. I would love to find out this would not have worked on a 3010 with mmm as I already owe him lunch from another bet and could maybe recoup it!

You need to give the group a fighting chance by detailing out what you expect to accomplish with this machine and in what kind of time frame. Many times you will find that many of us (I am a big fan) rent specialty items like hoes. I have a 3010 with a 4690A hoe and I still will be renting a hoe in a couple of weeks. I have numerous small on going jobs at home that are expedited by my having a hoe, but when I get into a large project I still rent for a number of reasons:
1) Larger, digs deeper, moves more dirt

2) Larger, what would be serious wear and tear on mine is average usage for a large rental

3) Larger, Much faster, some jobs need to be completed in a small time frame

Having the small hoe allows me to do a lot of prep work so that when I do rent I can maximize my time.

Please let us know what you have planned then myself and others on the forum (mostly others ) will supply their expertise to help you make the right choices the first time.
