turf or industrial tires for my 4410?

turfs are standard here in the UK - and my use will start off as grass

On the other hand I think I'll want to do some ploughing/tilling and a fair bit of loader work on wet and muddy sloping grass

I will want to do a fair bit of mowing on finer turf round the house - although we are not super fussy about the lawn area - the kids use it to kick balls about etc

I can choose when to mow - pick my weather..

Should I stick with the standard turfs or should I select Industrial tyres (sorry tires!) for that extra grip

thoughts anyone? cheers Mike

I have industrial tires on 2 of my tractors and don't find them to be very hard on the lawn. One of the tractors was purchased with the thought that 85% of its time would be spent mowing. The only time I run into problems is when the ground is very wet and soft and I try to make sharp turns. . . but then agian, I probably shouldn't even be running the tractor over it regardless of the tire style.

I bought my 955 used with the R4's on it. It also came with turfs on rims. I thought I would put the turfs on to mow with, but I've used it for 2 1/2 yrs. & still haven't tried them. What I'm saying is that that R4's work fine for whatever I am doing.

The ispell that Billy linked to works real well. It works with explorer. When you make a new post, you just right click and select spell check.

thanks Mike and the rest of the guys who answered - I told the dealer today to order me R4 industrials - I'll be careful how I mow around the house, should be better than turfs elswhere I reckon..

I am going into London to see my dentist tomorrow - maybe I'll catch a glimpse of George W
