Turbo swap

I have a Ford 1910 with a 1.7 3 cylinder and I was wondering if you could put the turbo from a John Deere 1050 on it since they are comparable motors

You can put a comparable turbo on it. You don't know how comparable the engines are - one could be designed for a lot more pressure than the other.

I installed a Garrett GT 1752 turbo from a Saab automobile on my Ford 1720 1.5 liter diesel and it works great.
1000 hours with no issues, big hp gains.
This is a waste gated turbo so you can limit the maximum boost.
