I have a JD G100 with I believe the Tuff Torq K66 tranny. The mower will not move and just makes a whining noise out of the Hydrostatic tranny. I had someone look at it and he said the tranny is cooked, even though he didn't open it up. I am going to take it somewhere else to get a second opinion, but in the meantime I am trying to find a repalcement. The repair shop says a new one is $1800 and a rebuild is $800+. Seems high to me, but I need to have some options. If anyone has some experience with this tranny or can point me in a direction to acquire a good replacement I would appreciate it very much.

and the supposed JD cross reference # is AM129817
