Trying to locate a water tank

I'm trying to find one of those large, square, metal caged water tanks. I believe they come in 250 and 330 gal sizes; either size would be fine. Last year someone had an ad in the local classifieds with a couple of those to sell. They weren't expensive, only $40 or $50 but I passed on it and I've regretted it ever since.
I've found some on the internet, but the shipping is just too too expensive for the oversized item. I'm trying to find one relatively close so I can just go pick it up.

Do any of the other TBNers here in Alabama know of a source?

You might post a "wanted" ad in your local market bulletin if such a publication is available. I've had pretty good luck in MS and LA.

If you're talking about the plastic tanks enclosed in an aluminum grid-type housing...... around here the local municipal water treatment plant gets chemicals in them and they find their way out in the public. If you are near a large city you might check at the water treatment plant.

Thanks for the help! I've got a few contacts in the local county seat so I try their water treatment facility first. If that falls through, I'll put an add in the Alabama Farmer's Bulletin.

Outfits that sell new/used/refurbished barrels and drums will handle these IBC tanks. While you really want to know what they contained originally if buying "as is" used, refurbished should be safe enough for most purposes. They are very nice tanks.

Check in any manufacturing site. Furniture makers use water base glue? Binders for concrete sometimes are water based acrylic material. Drive through an industrial park and look around. Check with large trucking companies with terminals.

I had those tanks here for sale. Out right now but yeh they had fruit flovors for food in them and tea concentrate in them.
Where on a palet with metal conduit type cage around the poly tank.
$40 to $50
I probably sold 50 in several months now I see them tanks all over town.

Hey Glenn, I can't get the LA mkt bulletin to ever load. MS bulletin loads no problem. Both are PDF. You got any ideas? Sure would be nice to shop from overseas.
